Be Amazed!! (Introduction)

Zechariah’s friends, the Shepard’s, all who heard the shepherds, Joseph and Mary, the people in Nazareth, those in Capernaum, the teachers listening to the boy Jesus in the temple, the disciples, the parents of the girl who had died, even the religious leaders: all of them were AMAZED, IN AWE, ASTONISHED, by this one named Jesus.

My prayer, as we travel through Luke’s story together, is that we would allow ourselves to, once more, be amazed by the person and the mission of Jesus.  To better prepare our hearts for what the Holy Spirit of God wants to communicate to through this series, I will be building on the principles that we learned during the 40 Days in the Word campaign.

Each week (hopefully:), I will give you a verse or passage of scripture from the previously weeks message.  Then ask that you join with me in walking through it using the principles learning in 40DITW.   By doing so, not only will we open new pathways for God to communicate with us. . . we will be sharping our personal quiet time skills.

This week, verse I want us to focus on is Luke 1. 37 “For nothing is impossible with God”.
Take this passage and emphasize each of the words.  For example,

For nothing is impossible with God
For nothing is impossible with God
For nothing is impossible with God
For nothing is impossible with God
For nothing is impossible with God
For nothing is impossible with God

You may end up with 6 different meanings from this verse as you go through and emphasize a different word each time.
Do that this week, and see what God communicates to you and your circumstances.
I pray this exercises leaves you in AWE of our AMAZING God!!
